Capt. Barry
Capt. Barry Bierstedt has been fishing off of the Carolina Beach coast for over 25 years. He started fishing with his dad offshore at the age of 6 and got his Captains license at the age of 19. Fishing is a passion of his and he loves to share the experience with others and teach them how to fish off the NC coast.

Family Ties is a 25 foot SeaCat powered by twin 90hp Yamaha four strokes. Equipped with loads of tackle and prime equipment, this Cat will get you to the fishing gounds comfortably everytime.
Our Trips
1\2 Day Trip
A half day trip is perfect for the family outing. We stay nearshore and target Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Bonito, False Albacore, and Many other species. This can also be run as a Shark trip.

3\4 Trolling Trip
A 3\4 Day Tolling Trip is a great trip for those looking to catch palegic species. Our targeted species on this trip will be Mahi Mahi, King Mackerel, Amberjack, Baracuda, and Spanish Mackerel. This trip can be done slow trolling or fast trolling.

3\4 Combo Trip
This is a perfect trip to fill the box with a variety of fish. We typically start our day out trolling for the pelagic species and go to bottom fishing for the last few hours. Its a customer favorite.

3\4 Bottom Trip
This is an all out Bottom Trip that will provide non stop action. Our targeted species are Grouper, Black Sea Bass, Snapper, Cobia, and other bottom dwellers. We also like to throw out a light line for that stray Mahi Mahi or King Mackerel.

Full Day Trip
Our Full Day Combo Trip is for the die hard fisherman. This a great way to fill the freezer with a variety of fish. We normally start our day off trolling and hit the bottom fishing hard around lunch time.
